Your contribution will be

• Coordinating FOUR PAWS Belgium’s external and internal communications activities, by conceptualising and implementing effective communication strategies
• Managing the communication route between FOUR PAWS Belgium and the EU-based offices as well as the international communications team
• Preparing and distributing press releases and blog posts for FOUR PAWS Belgium and EU-based country offices of FOUR PAWS when relevant (‘translation’ of complex political topics)
• Developing and nurturing media contacts in Brussels
• Preparing online communication to update all FOUR PAWS Belgium’s social media channels and for the international channels where it concerns European political topics
• Being responsible for all matters concerning FOUR PAWS Belgium’s website
• Representing FOUR PAWS Belgium in internal communication meetings and providing regular updates through internal FOUR PAWS channels (PAWSnet & Teams channels)
• Supporting the team with reports and presentations and with the organisation of events (comms-related tasks)

Your profile ideally illustrates

• Relevant experience with social media channels (particularly Twitter, LinkedIn & Instagram)
• Educational background in Communications/Public Relations/Marketing/Public Policy
• Excellent written and verbal English skills and strong cultural awareness
• High degree of flexibility, creativity and ability to grasp opportunities
• Strong understanding of EU institutions and EU animal welfare policy
• Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
