The rescue centre for bears is located right in the middle of the Mecklenburg Lake District in the North of Germany. Your contribution will be
- Managing projects on a daily basis and aligning with internal resources and external vendors including local construction companies, commissioned architects and planners ensuring a successful on-site expansion within the planned budget and timeline
- Submitting and organizing applications for permits with local and regional authorities and ensuring proper documentation
- Working with internal experts and consultants for advice on financial, legal and regulatory issues
- Planning of buildings, systems, and facilities, considering flexibility of use and cost-effectiveness and coordination of ongoing construction measures as well as planning modernization measures and ensuring optimal management of existing facilities
- Managing and coordinating all aspects relating to animal management in close cooperation with the Chief Animal Caretaker
Your profile ideally illustrates
- Successful completion of a degree in engineering, construction, architecture or a degree in comparable subjects
- Several years of experience in project management, negotiating contracts, working with authorities and municipalities, as well as land acquisition laws
- Proven leadership experience
- Very good knowledge of spoken and written German and English
- Passion for animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission
