Your contribution will be

  • Leading the implementation of strategic plans, ensuring alignment with global FOUR PAWS´ priorities.
  • Executing strategic development plan, recommending timelines and resources needed to achieve the strategic goals.
  • Managing overall operations, overseeing the development and evaluation of programs, and ensuring operational excellence across fundraising, finance, administration, and communications.
  • Working in collaboration with FOUR PAWS International in Vienna, Austria to translate the global program's priorities to the local context, executing fundraising operations as well as the national communications strategy.
  • Spearheading and expanding fundraising initiatives, including donor development, major gifts, and corporate partnerships, to support our mission.
  • Enhancing communication strategies across online and offline channels, strengthening our brand presence, and leveraging external relations to open new opportunities.
  • Acting as the external facing presence of FOUR PAWS in the US.
  • Ensuring adherence to State and Federal regulations, maintaining our 501(c)3 status.
  • Collaborating with the US National Board and FOUR PAWS’ Chief Officers to align USA operations with organizational priorities.
  • Executing contracts with all FOUR PAWS International vendors and service providers.
  • Overseeing the completion and timely filing of the annual audit.
  • Fostering a culture of excellence, mentorship, and continuous learning.
  • Leading, developing, recruiting, and retaining a high-performing team committed to the mission of FOUR PAWS.
  • Working directly with HR on all employee issues, policies, procedures, and compliance on both state and federal levels.
  • Designing the national expansion and completing the strategic business planning process.
  • Identifying key topics and campaign/programmatic opportunities for FOUR PAWS USA.
  • Building partnerships exploring new markets, and establishing relationships with service providers, funders, and fellow non-profits in the field.
  • Being an external local and national presence who publishes and communicates program results with emphasis on the campaigns and successes of FOUR PAWS USA.

 

Your profile ideally illustrates

  • Bachelors degree; Masters degree preferred, or combination of Bachelors and experience.
  • Demonstrated experience in a senior leadership/management role.
  • Experience in animal welfare, non-profit, or another similar environment.
  • Proven leadership, coaching, and relationship management experience preferably with a non-profit.
  • Ability to effectively lead and expand a performance- and outcomes-based organization and staff.
  • Understand how to develop and operationalize strategies to take an organization to the next stage of growth.
  • Excellence in organizational management with the ability to coach staff, manage and develop high-performance teams, set and achieve strategic objectives, and manage a budget.
  • Strong marketing, public relations, and fundraising experience.
  • Ability to work effectively in collaboration with diverse groups of people.
  • Unwavering commitment to quality programs and data-driven program evaluation.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills.
  • A persuasive and passionate communicator with excellent interpersonal skills.
  • Action-oriented, entrepreneurial, adaptable, and innovative approach to business planning and multidisciplinary project skills.
  • Passion, idealism, integrity, positive attitude, mission-driven, and self-directed.
  • Willingness and ability to travel abroad.
  • Ability to engage with a wide range of stakeholders and cultures.
  • Great affinity to animal welfare and FOUR PAWS vision and mission.
